Statement of Faith / Mission Statement

The Worldwide Christian College Accreditation Association (WCCAA) is a fellowship of Christian institutions committed to advancing Christ-centered education around the world. Our Faith compels us to uphold the lordship of Jesus Christ in all areas of life, including education, and to operate in a manner consistent with Scripture and in lawful harmony with civil authority, where it dose not conflict with divine authority.

The Holy Scriptures

We believe that the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith, conduct, and truth. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

God

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, son, and Holy Spirit - coequal and coeternal. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death on the cross, bodily  resurrection, ascension to the right hand of the Father, and future personal return in power and glory. (John 1:1-14; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:11)

Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. All who believe in Him are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and become children of God. (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:3-7; Romans 10: 9-10)

The Church

We believe in spiritual unity of all believers  in our Lord Jesus Christ and in  the necessity of the local church for worship, fellowship, discipleship, and mission. (Ephesians 4:4-6; Hebrews 10:25)

Religious Liberty and Exemption

We affirm that religious Liberty is a God-given right protected by legal frameworks such as the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and similar provisions globally. Christian institutions under the WCCAA operate under religious exemption provisions and are accountable first and foremost to God, We reserve the right to teach, train, and operate according to our sincerely held religious beliefs without interference from the state, provided we do not violate public safety, morality, or peace. (Acts 5:29; Galatians 5:1)

Render to Caesar - Civic Responsibility

We uphold the biblical teaching to render to Caesar what is Caesar"s and to God what is God's (Matthew 22:21). We believe that Christians should honor lawful government, pay taxes, and participate in society as good citizens, so long as doing so does not require disobedience to God's commands, (13:1-7; 1 Peter 2:13-17)

Separation of Church and State

We believe in a biblical separation of church and state, where the state does not interfere with the internal affairs, doctrines, and  operations of the Church or Christian institutions. While we acknowledge the authority of the state in civic matters, the spiritual mission, curriculum, governance and theological integrity of Christian colleges and universities most remain under the headship of Christ alone. (Colossians 1:18; Matthew 28:18-20)

Christian Education

We affirm that education is inherently spiritual and that Christ is the source of all true wisdom and knowledge. Therefore, all academic endeavors must be grounded in a biblical worldview. Christian Education seeks to train the whole person - intellectually, morally and spiritually - for service to God and humanity. (proverbs 1:7; Colossians 2:3; Deuteronomy 6:6-7)

In all our accreditation practices, standards, and partnerships, the WCCAA remains committed to biblical fidelity,  educational excellence, and spiritual integrity. We exist to serve Christian institutions that boldly proclaim Christ and pursue the Great Commission through teaching and discipleship.  And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus (Colossians 3:17)
